Video Annotation and Voiceover

Updated over 6 months ago

Here's a new way to annotate and voiceover your videos (desktop only).

  1. (Desktop only) Go to your "Saved Plays." Click on a replay. Click on the menu button on the right side of the replay.

  2. A dropdown menu should open. Select "Annotate and voiceover video."

  3. This should open the video in fullscreen mode.

  4. You can use the coaching tools without recording anything. Or you can record your annotations, voiceover, etc. and have them be saved as a video. To do this, click the red "REC" button.

(If this is your first time using this feature, your computer may prompt you to allow Save My Play to access your mic. Click "allow.")

Now you can talk over the video and have your voiceover be recorded.

  5. To play/pause the video, click the "play/pause" button.

  6. To increase/decrease the playback speed of the video, click the "plus" and "minus" buttons.

  7. To go forward/backward a frame in the video, click the "forward" and "backward" buttons.

  8. To go to a specific point in the video, click and drag the green progress bar.

  9. To annotate/draw on the video, click the star button.

  10. Once you've clicked the star, a menu should appear with a list of options for annotating.

  11. "Hand" - freestyle draw

  12. "Line" - draw straight lines

  13. "Rectangle" - draw a rectangle

  14. "Angle" - draw two connected lines, creating an angle

  15. "Circle" - draw a circle or oval

  16. To change the line color, click "Settings." Select any color with the palette and click "OK."

  17. To undo/redo an action, click the "undo" and "redo" buttons.

  18. To erase all your annotations and start fresh, click the eraser button.

  19. If you're recording, once you're done, click the red "stop" button.

  20. Your recorded video with all your annotations, voiceover, etc. will be saved under your "Saved Plays." The new video will be saved as the last play under the session.
